Digitag PH: Your Ultimate Guide to Digital Success in the Philippines

As I sit down to write about digital success in the Philippines, I can't help but draw parallels to my recent deep dive into WWE 2K25's creation suite. That remarkable toolkit reminds me of what we're trying to achieve here at Digitag PH - giving Filipino businesses and creators the tools to build their digital presence from the ground up. Just as the game's creation suite offers "virtually countless options" for bringing any character to life, the digital landscape here in the Philippines presents endless possibilities for those willing to master its tools and platforms.

The Philippines stands at a fascinating digital crossroads. With over 76 million internet users and growing at roughly 12% annually, the potential audience is massive. But here's what many miss - success isn't about simply showing up online. It's about understanding the unique Filipino digital consumer, their behaviors, preferences, and the cultural nuances that make our market distinct. I've seen too many businesses transplant strategies that worked elsewhere, only to watch them falter because they didn't account for what makes Filipino digital culture special. We're a nation of storytellers, of relationship-builders, of communities rather than just audiences.

What WWE's creation suite gets absolutely right - and what we emphasize at Digitag PH - is the power of customization. When I spent those hours exploring the game's tools, creating characters that resonated with me personally, it hit me: this is exactly what digital success in the Philippines requires. You can't just use generic templates. Whether you're crafting content for Facebook (where 96% of Filipino internet users have accounts) or building an e-commerce strategy for Lazada or Shopee, you need to tailor your approach specifically for this market. I always tell clients - think of yourself as that game creator, carefully selecting each element to build something that truly connects.

The moveset customization in WWE 2K25 particularly fascinates me because it mirrors how Filipino digital professionals need to adapt their skills. Just as players can incorporate techniques from wrestling stars across different promotions, we need to blend international best practices with local insights. I've found that the most successful digital strategies here combine global trends with deeply local understanding - whether it's recognizing the importance of text-based communication for customer service or understanding why video content performs exceptionally well across all age groups here.

What many don't realize is that digital success in the Philippines often comes down to mobile optimization. With 98% of our internet users accessing through smartphones, your entire digital presence needs to be mobile-first. I've watched businesses pour resources into beautiful desktop experiences that completely miss how their actual customers will interact with them. It's like creating an elaborate wrestling character in WWE 2K25 but forgetting to program their basic movements - the foundation matters most.

The beauty of both WWE's creation tools and the Philippine digital space is that they reward creativity within structure. You have frameworks to work within, but the possibilities are limited only by imagination. I've seen local businesses transform their fortunes by embracing this mindset - from sari-sari stores using Facebook Messenger for orders to local artisans finding international markets through Instagram. The tools are there, much like the extensive customization options in that game suite, waiting for someone with vision to bring their digital dreams to life.

After years in this industry, I'm convinced that digital success here isn't about chasing every new platform or trend. It's about deeply understanding your audience and building authentic connections. The Philippine digital landscape is vibrant, rapidly evolving, and full of opportunity for those willing to invest the time to truly master it. Just as WWE 2K25's creation suite becomes more powerful in the hands of someone who understands its nuances, our digital tools become transformative when wielded by those who genuinely understand the Filipino digital heart.

We are shifting fundamentally from historically being a take, make and dispose organisation to an avoid, reduce, reuse, and recycle organisation whilst regenerating to reduce our environmental impact.  We see significant potential in this space for our operations and for our industry, not only to reduce waste and improve resource use efficiency, but to transform our view of the finite resources in our care.

Looking to the Future

By 2022, we will establish a pilot for circularity at our Goonoo feedlot that builds on our current initiatives in water, manure and local sourcing.  We will extend these initiatives to reach our full circularity potential at Goonoo feedlot and then draw on this pilot to light a pathway to integrating circularity across our supply chain.

The quality of our product and ongoing health of our business is intrinsically linked to healthy and functioning ecosystems.  We recognise our potential to play our part in reversing the decline in biodiversity, building soil health and protecting key ecosystems in our care.  This theme extends on the core initiatives and practices already embedded in our business including our sustainable stocking strategy and our long-standing best practice Rangelands Management program, to a more a holistic approach to our landscape.

We are the custodians of a significant natural asset that extends across 6.4 million hectares in some of the most remote parts of Australia.  Building a strong foundation of condition assessment will be fundamental to mapping out a successful pathway to improving the health of the landscape and to drive growth in the value of our Natural Capital.

Our Commitment

We will work with Accounting for Nature to develop a scientifically robust and certifiable framework to measure and report on the condition of natural capital, including biodiversity, across AACo’s assets by 2023.  We will apply that framework to baseline priority assets by 2024.

Looking to the Future

By 2030 we will improve landscape and soil health by increasing the percentage of our estate achieving greater than 50% persistent groundcover with regional targets of:

– Savannah and Tropics – 90% of land achieving >50% cover

– Sub-tropics – 80% of land achieving >50% perennial cover

– Grasslands – 80% of land achieving >50% cover

– Desert country – 60% of land achieving >50% cover
