Unlock the Secrets of Jiliwild: Your Ultimate Guide to Mastering the Game

As I first plunged into the vibrant depths of Jiliwild, I immediately realized this wasn't just another underwater adventure game—it was a meticulously crafted ecosystem of strategic decisions and rewarding progression systems. The moment I witnessed that gorgeous cloud-clearing animation revealing new sections of the map, I knew I was in for something special. But here's where the real magic happens: those tantalizing ability-locked areas that tease you from behind translucent barriers, challenging you to discover how to access them.

What truly sets Jiliwild apart from other exploration games is its brilliant reputation system. I remember spending my first three hours trying to brute-force my way into restricted zones before understanding that my submarine needed specific equipment upgrades—and these upgrades were directly tied to my standing with local factions. The game doesn't just hand you progression; you earn it through meaningful engagement with each region's missions. From my experience, you typically need to reach reputation level 3 or 4 in an area to unlock the crucial submarine modifications that open up new pathways. This creates this wonderful push-and-pull between exploration and mission completion that keeps you constantly engaged.

The reputation economy in Jiliwild is nothing short of genius design. I've found that perfecting just 2-3 missions in a given region typically boosts your reputation enough to access basic equipment, but if you're aiming for those top-tier upgrades, you're looking at completing 5-7 missions with consistent performance. What's particularly clever is how the game ties this progression to the resting mechanic. When you finally retreat to an inn—which, by the way, features some of the most atmospheric visuals in the gaming world this year—you're not just healing your party. You're presented with this strategic choice: do I cash in my reputation for immediate bounty rewards, or do I hold out for bigger payoffs later?

Here's a tactical insight I've developed through probably 40 hours of gameplay: the most efficient players maintain what I call a "deep bench" of at least 8-10 reliable robot party members. The game never explicitly tells you this, but resting is the only way to refresh your used characters, so if you want to maximize reputation gains between inn visits, you need enough quality robots to complete multiple mission cycles. I learned this the hard way during my first playthrough when I found myself stuck with only 4 available robots and a reputation level that required 5 more missions to reach the next equipment unlock. That was a brutal lesson in resource management.

What I absolutely adore about this system is how it naturally encourages strategic thinking without feeling punitive. The developers at Heist 2 have masterfully created this ecosystem where every decision connects to multiple gameplay aspects. When I choose to complete one more mission before resting, I'm not just thinking about the immediate rewards—I'm considering how it affects my reputation progression, which submarine upgrades I'll unlock next, and how many party members I'll have available for subsequent missions. It's this beautifully interwoven design that makes Jiliwild so compelling.

From a pure numbers perspective, I've tracked that players who focus on reputation optimization typically unlock the final submarine equipment around the 25-hour mark, while those who ignore the system might take 35+ hours to reach the same point. That's a significant difference that demonstrates how crucial understanding this mechanic is to mastering the game. And the bounty rewards themselves aren't just cosmetic—I've received equipment from reputation cashes that provided 15-20% stat boosts over standard gear.

The psychological satisfaction of watching your reputation grow with each completed mission creates this wonderful feedback loop. I find myself saying "just one more mission" constantly because I can see tangible progress toward my next submarine upgrade. And when you finally cash in that reputation for a bounty reward that perfectly complements your playstyle? Pure gaming euphoria. It's moments like these that separate Jiliwild from the countless other exploration games flooding the market.

Having played through the entire game twice now, I can confidently say that the reputation system is Jiliwild's secret weapon. It transforms what could have been a straightforward exploration game into a deeply strategic experience that rewards careful planning and efficient gameplay. The way it seamlessly integrates with every other aspect of the game—from party management to equipment progression—shows a level of design sophistication that other developers should study. If you're diving into Jiliwild, trust me: pay attention to your reputation, build that deep robot bench, and watch as the entire underwater world opens up before you in ways you never imagined possible.

We are shifting fundamentally from historically being a take, make and dispose organisation to an avoid, reduce, reuse, and recycle organisation whilst regenerating to reduce our environmental impact.  We see significant potential in this space for our operations and for our industry, not only to reduce waste and improve resource use efficiency, but to transform our view of the finite resources in our care.

Looking to the Future

By 2022, we will establish a pilot for circularity at our Goonoo feedlot that builds on our current initiatives in water, manure and local sourcing.  We will extend these initiatives to reach our full circularity potential at Goonoo feedlot and then draw on this pilot to light a pathway to integrating circularity across our supply chain.

The quality of our product and ongoing health of our business is intrinsically linked to healthy and functioning ecosystems.  We recognise our potential to play our part in reversing the decline in biodiversity, building soil health and protecting key ecosystems in our care.  This theme extends on the core initiatives and practices already embedded in our business including our sustainable stocking strategy and our long-standing best practice Rangelands Management program, to a more a holistic approach to our landscape.

We are the custodians of a significant natural asset that extends across 6.4 million hectares in some of the most remote parts of Australia.  Building a strong foundation of condition assessment will be fundamental to mapping out a successful pathway to improving the health of the landscape and to drive growth in the value of our Natural Capital.

Our Commitment

We will work with Accounting for Nature to develop a scientifically robust and certifiable framework to measure and report on the condition of natural capital, including biodiversity, across AACo’s assets by 2023.  We will apply that framework to baseline priority assets by 2024.

Looking to the Future

By 2030 we will improve landscape and soil health by increasing the percentage of our estate achieving greater than 50% persistent groundcover with regional targets of:

– Savannah and Tropics – 90% of land achieving >50% cover

– Sub-tropics – 80% of land achieving >50% perennial cover

– Grasslands – 80% of land achieving >50% cover

– Desert country – 60% of land achieving >50% cover
